In fact, I'm so obsessed with making sure first and last names sound good together that when I had my kids, I had to very sadly put many favorite names on the shelf because they sounded awful with my ex's last name. :-(<br /><br />On the upside, my daughter wants to legally have her name changed when she turns 18 to be the same last name as mine (I took my maiden name back when I got divorced), and my son has told me that he'll be legally changing his name to "Schuyler Blondie-Bear Pookie-Man" rather than the name we gave him at birth. I think his new name will be FREAKING AWESOME!
