The Bloggess: The Aftermath

So, Mike recently blogged about our undying love for The Bloggess. Well, something happened that we hadn't even dreamed would happen: The Bloggess herself commented on the post. Below is the Facebook conversation that ensued.

Mike:
  • OMG
  • THE BLOGGESS COMMENTED ON MY POST

Kayla:
  • OMG I'M HYPERVENTILATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike:
  • ME TOOOOO
  • I don't know how to respond

Kayla:
  • My mind is totally blank.
  • I just choked on my coffee because I don't even know how to respond.

Mike:
  • I'm not sure I can function
  • I think I might have started screaming when I saw it, but I can’t be sure. And, yes, I’m at work.

Kayla:
  • This is the happiest day of my life.

Mike:
  • Mine too.
  • I'm like trembling and giggling.

Kayla:
  • I know me too.
  • Thank god we weren't together when this happened. I think we would have caused an earthquake.
  • OF JOY!

Mike:
  • I KNOW
  • I feel like there would have been more jumping up and down and louder vocalizations if we were together

Kayla:
  • Yeah.
  • I want to do a SHOT!
  • And then dance on a bar.
  • And then probably get a tattoo.

Mike:
  • Can we tattoo her face on our chests?

Kayla:
  • Yes.
  • Over our hearts.

Mike:
  • Let’s do it!
  • Gonna go vom, brb

Kayla:
  • I feel like I might vom too. I'm afraid that if I stand up I'll start jumping around and/or dancing.

Mike:
  • I don't remember what I was working on. And I have this insatiable urge to make tribal vocalizations.
  • I might be seizing

Kayla:
  • I don't know what my body's doing anymore but it feels like my organs are quivering.
  • I usually only feel this way when I'm extremely pissed off but this whole "shaking with joy" thing is new for me.
  • It's not helping that I just downed a pot of coffee.

Mike:
  • I seriously don't remember what I was doing. I'm gonna have to ask my boss. "I just had a seizure, what was I working on again?"

  1. "I might be seizing" is my new "I love this." It's caused a lot of confusion and concerned looks from strangers.

    PS. I might be seizing.

  2. You have no idea how touched I am to know that I may have played some small role in inspiring confusion and concerned looks . I feel as if I have finally found my calling.

P.S. I might be seizing. Again.

P.P.S. We hope that you plan to get your mail sometime after Monday and that this action too will inspire seizing.

  3. Mike, my friend Natalie and I reacted very much the same way when Jenny commented on my blog. I'm honestly glad to know it's not just our own special blend of insanity!

  5. Oh, holy shit. I thought I might vom from reading you guys thinking about possibly going to vom.

I think a blog comment from The Bloggess might be more exciting than a phone call from the president. I don't even know what that signifies-- but, yeah.

  6. Definitely more exciting than a phone call from the president. He calls me all the time, I'm so over it. I'm like "Yo, Barack, man, I know you depend on me to make these hard decisions for you, but I'm Skyping with Willy and Kate at the moment so imma have to call you back."
